Circle of Friends
Families who share the common bond of having a sick child often find comfort in each other. The Circle of Friends support group is available for parents and family members of the children who visit our clinic. The group meets informally to share support, concerns and resources. Circle of Friends also helps to raise funds to cover special purchases for the patients of the clinic -- such as holiday parties, books and games for the waiting room and other special needs.
Camp STRONG (formally Camp O.K. Corral)
Camp STRONG is an annual summer camp for children who are cardiology and oncology patients and, as space allows, their siblings. Campers ages 6–18 participate in normal camp activities with trained counselors. Nurses from Saint Francis Health System are on-site while physicians are on call and visit the camp throughout the week.
