Community Health Needs Assessments
Recognition as a tax-exempt organization carries with it a responsibility to serve the interests of the community. To this end, Saint Francis Health System publishes a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) every three years and an annual Report to the Community outlining its community contributions for the prior year.
Justice is one of the core values of Saint Francis Health System. It calls for the organization to advocate for systems and structures that are attuned to the needs of the vulnerable and disadvantaged and that promote a sense of community among all persons.
To effectively do this requires that the Saint Francis Health System:
- Gather and obtain information identifying those needs; and
- Develop programs and services that address and provide access to those in greatest need of healthcare services.
