Welcome to the Saint Francis Hospital PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program! We are thrilled that you are considering joining our team where we are dedicated to fostering the growth and development of future pharmacy leaders.
Our residency program is designed to provide comprehensive training in a dynamic and supportive environment. As a resident, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced clinicians across various specialties, including psychiatry, trauma, emergency medicine, cardiology, and pulmonology. Our program offers a rich blend of inpatient and outpatient experiences, with an emphasis on clinical excellence, patient safety, and professional development.

Residency Special Features
Saint Francis Hospital is part of the Saint Francis Health System, the largest health system in Oklahoma. This is a not-for-profit tertiary care center with 1,285 beds including a 162 bed Children’s hospital. The pharmacy resident has the opportunity to provide care for patients in the following areas: psychiatry, infectious disease, trauma, emergency medicine, pulmonology, and cardiology. Pediatric elective rotations are available in general pediatrics, neonatal critical care, pediatric critical care, and oncology. Longitudinal experiences including research, leadership, and communication/education are required components of the residency. The resident will also have the opportunity to choose two elective longitudinal rotations in outpatient mental health, HIV, population health, and outpatient oncology.
The purpose of this twelve-month program is to develop competent, confident practitioners equipped to meet the challenges of contemporary pharmacy practice with an emphasis in process improvement principles. The residency experience provides a solid foundation of skills essential for advanced hospital practice or the pursuit of additional, specialized post-graduate pharmacy training.

Special Requirements for Acceptance
Interested candidates should submit a letter of intent, official college transcripts, curriculum vitae and three recommendations to PhORCAS via WebAdmit. All application materials should be submitted to the Residency Program Director (RPD) prior to the application deadline posted on PhORCAS/WebAdmit. Upon receipt of all application materials, all candidates are invited to participate in a telephone interview; additionally, some candidates may be invited for an on-site interview.
