Welcome to the Saint Francis Children’s Hospital PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program! We are thrilled that you are considering joining our team where we are dedicated to fostering the growth and development of future pharmacy leaders.
Our residency program is designed to provide comprehensive training in a dynamic and supportive environment. As a resident, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced pediatric clinicians across various specialties, including psychiatry, pulmonology, ambulatory care, oncology, neonatal and pediatric critical care. Our program offers a rich blend of inpatient and outpatient experiences, with an emphasis on patient care, leadership, and professional development.
Our program is fully accredited by ASHP and offers numerous opportunities for you to engage in teaching, research, and leadership activities. With access to a wide array of resources and state-of-the-art technology, you will be well-prepared to make a meaningful impact on patient care.

Residency Special Features
Saint Francis Children's Hospital is part of the Saint Francis Health System, the largest health system in Oklahoma. This is a not-for-profit 162 bed free standing pediatric hospital. The pharmacy resident has the opportunity to provide care for patients in the following areas: general pediatrics, neonatal critical care, pediatric critical care, hematology/oncology, and infectious disease. Elective rotations are available in emergency medicine, ambulatory care, psychiatry, pulmonology, and trauma. Longitudinal experiences including research, leadership, cystic fibrosis clinic, and communication/education are required components of the residency.
The purpose of this twelve-month program is to develop competent, confident practitioners equipped to meet the challenges of contemporary pharmacy practice with an emphasis in process improvement principles. The residency experience provides a solid foundation of skills essential for advanced hospital practice or the pursuit of additional, specialized post-graduate pharmacy training.

Special Requirements for Acceptance
Interested candidates should submit a letter of intent, official college transcripts, curriculum vitae and three recommendations to PhORCAS via WebAdmit. All application materials should be submitted to the Residency Program Director (RPD) prior to the application deadline posted on PhORCAS/WebAdmit. Upon receipt of all application materials, all candidates are invited to participate in a telephone interview; additionally, some candidates may be invited for an on-site interview.
