Pulmonary rehab is a comprehensive therapeutic program aimed to help individuals with lung disease achieve their maximum level of independence. This is obtained through supervised exercise sessions with monitoring and education provided by a multidisciplinary team of trained professionals.
What can pulmonary rehabilitation do for me?
The goal of pulmonary rehab is to stabilize the physiology and psychopathology of pulmonary diseases. What is the program like?
The program is individually tailored based on medical necessity and can range from six to 12 weeks. Sessions may be two to three times a week depending on the location and diagnosis.
