Saint Francis Hospital Muskogee Expansion
April 2023 Construction Updates
One of the key features for patients and visitors will be a new entrance which will enable visitors to park closer to the door and provide safer, easier access around the site. Additional handicap spaces, lighting and elevated sidewalk around the parking area (including toward Kate Frank Apartments) will make access to the hospital easier than ever before.
In April, we began the demolition and removal of the hill around the old entrance on the second floor. Site work continues around the Emergency Room entrance but the Emergency drop-off loop and all services remain open.
March 2023 Construction Updates
As part of the next phase of Saint Francis Hospital Muskogee construction, a temporary entrance and lobby has been constructed on the ground floor (level 1) between the A and B wings of the current patient tower. The previous front entrance on the hill is closed and patients and visitors will be routed to the temporary entrance. Vendors are asked to please make all deliveries through the dock at the south end of the building. This will continue until the new lobby opens with the patient tower in 2025.
The emergency room entrance is not changing. Interior signage and patient instructions are being updated and we ask you to please help us spread the word on this change.
Expansion Project Details
The temporary entrance is part of the largest healthcare construction project in Muskogee history. The new patient bed tower will feature a ground floor entrance, chapel and over 150 new patient rooms including new intensive and progressive care units.
Construction is underway and the tower will welcome its first patient in the tower when construction is complete by the end of 2025.
With patient rooms up to 47% larger than existing rooms, new family waiting and staff support areas, this construction will help ensure Muskogee remains an excellent place to receive and work in healthcare.
All hospital and clinic services will remain open and fully functional during construction. We appreciate your patience and understanding while this work is underway.
