Saint Francis Hospital Muskogee Celebrates Topping Out
Saint Francis Health System hosted a significant milestone event for the expansion of Saint Francis Hospital Muskogee. The topping out ceremony celebrated the placement of the highest beam in the construction project, symbolizing our commitment to enhancing healthcare access for our community.
Among the distinguished speakers were Michele Keeling, president, Saint Francis Hospital Muskogee; Trey Bomier, executive director of operations, Saint Francis Hospital Muskogee; Dr. Cliff Robertson, president and CEO of Saint Francis Health System; Barry Steichen, executive vice president and COO of Saint Francis Health System; and Deputy Mayor Derrick Reed, City of Muskogee.
The ceremony also saw the presence of leadership from Saint Francis Health System, JE Dunn Construction, and the City of Muskogee. Their attendance signified collaborative effort and community support behind the hospital's expansion project.

As part of Saint Francis Health System, Saint Francis Hospital Muskogee provides a wide range of medical and surgical services, including trauma and emergency care, cardiology, orthopedics, labor and delivery, surgical services, and primary and specialty care. The hospital holds a four-star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and is licensed for 288 beds, serving Muskogee and Eastern Oklahoma with comprehensive healthcare services.
The current expansion project, the largest investment in Muskogee's healthcare history, began in late 2022. It includes a new seven-story patient bed tower, adding 158 new inpatient beds, with expansions to the Intensive Care Unit (30 beds) and the Progressive Care Unit (32 beds). The project features larger patient rooms to accommodate family and caregivers, a new ground-floor entrance, and a chapel for patients, visitors, and staff. This expansion will create dozens of new positions and support continued growth within the existing hospital.
