What do CPS Techs Do?
As a CPS technician, you will put your knowledge to work through a variety of activities, including community presentations and/or child safety seat checks where parents and caregivers receive education and hands-on assistance with the proper use of child restraint systems and seat belts.
CPS technicians and instructors also keep up-to-date on the latest technical information about child passenger safety through seminars and other continuing education opportunities.
Becoming a Tech
All Child Passenger Safety (CPS) technicians must take and pass the CPS Certification course. The course fee is $95. Learn more about the course at cert.safekids.org.
