Isabel Deffit, MS, LPC, received her Bachelor of Arts in psychology at the University of Tulsa and her Master of Science in community counseling at Oklahoma State University. Isabel first joined the Laureate Eating Disorders team in 2010 as a psychiatric technician. She returned in 2021 as the Outpatient and Magnolia House therapist.

Isabel has a holistic view of counseling that incorporates an integrative approach to healing the mind through the physical, spiritual and psychological. She is trained in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, sexual abuse, domestic violence and women’s issues. She is currently working toward her certified eating disorders specialist credential.

Gabrielle Taylor MS, RD, LD, received her Bachelor of Science degree in nutritional sciences and her master’s degree in health care administration from Oklahoma State University. Gabrielle has served in the nutrition field for over 12 years, working in a variety of settings including oncology, cardiology, diabetes and disordered eating. She has experience in working with adolescents, adults and families and has worked at all levels of care including inpatient, outpatient and private practice. More ...

Christine Scott, MS, LPC-C, received her Bachelor of Musical Arts in Percussion from the University of Oklahoma, and her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northeastern State University. Originally joining the Laureate Eating Disorders program as a psychiatric technician, Christine now works as a therapist and program coordinator for Magnolia House, Laureate’s independent living home for women in recovery from eating disorders.

Christine is passionate about facilitating joy and curiosity in recovery, and believes in restoring a sense of belonging within oneself, one’s body, and one’s community as central to the healing process. Christine believes deeply in a collaborative approach to therapy, where the therapist and client engage in a fully egalitarian relationship to create recovery that is sustainable in life and life that is sustainable in recovery. She utilizes a person-centered approach and draws from radically-open dialectical behavioral therapy, internal family systems, and somatic approaches

Psychiatrist

Kari E. Youman, M.D., practices in Laureate's outpatient psychiatry clinic with an emphasis on eating, mood and anxiety disorders. She oversees the care of women staying in the Magnolia House independent living facility and provides continuing care for patients transitioning from the program's intensive treatment to outpatient services.
