The innovative Laureate Eating Disorders Program at Laureate Psychiatric Clinic and Hospital in Tulsa, OK, has earned national recognition because it delivers results. In fact, more than 50 percent of patients have sought treatment elsewhere before seeking treatment at Laureate.
Our treatment programs are highly individualized and we never forget the most important part of the treatment team - the patient. To ensure individualized care, we keep the eating disorders program small: a maximum of 12 in the adolescent program; 18 in the adult program.
Most of the day patients are in groups with their individual therapist. Typically, the program breaks into smaller groups, each with five to six patients and led by at least one therapist.

The teams are trained in a variety of psychotherapy techniques. We can help to clarify unique issues and teach patients how to deal with them effectively. It's not uncommon for patients to struggle with depression, anxiety or obsessive-compulsive symptoms before developing an eating disorder.
