Once a patient is psychologically, nutritionally and medically stable, she transitions to the residential level of care. Patients may remain in the acute-care unit or move to Canyon Creek, a supervised dorm-like setting on the Laureate campus.
"Real World" Treatment
During residential treatment, each patient continues to participate in the full treatment program as well as individual, group and family therapy throughout the day. In addition, she will participate in supervised off-campus meal outings and social outings, both of which encourage development of self-management in "real world" settings.
Residential Program Highlights
- Three to five sessions per week with Scott Moseman, M.D., board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist
- Supervised therapeutic meal and social outings
- Off-campus therapeutic passes with parents
- Daily therapist-led groups in addition to individual and family therapy
- Individualized nutritional assessment and therapy on a weekly basis
Questions?
Whether you are a young woman suffering with an eating disorder, a parent, a friend or loved one, please call our admissions coordinators if you have any questions. You can reach Lisa and Lauren directly at 800-322-5173 and your conversation will be completely confidential.
Please note there is no obligation to proceed with treatment at Laureate just by calling us. If Laureate is not an appropriate option for care, our admissions coordinators can also assist with referrals to other treatment programs.
