Rehabilitation
It is estimated that each of us will likely need at least one rehabilitation service within our lifetime. Although it is difficult to contemplate having an injury or illness that would require rehabilitation to recover use, mobility or function, selecting qualified rehabilitation professionals is an important factor in this process.
Inpatient physical, occupational and speech therapy are available to patients of Saint Francis Hospital South. These services are ordered by the patient’s hospital physician and are to be completed while the patient is in the hospital.
Outpatient rehabilitation services are offered in multiple locations and utilize a team approach in which the patient is the integral component. The therapists work with each individual to transition to the community or back to everyday life where they can continue to enjoy improved function and health.
Therapists of Saint Francis Outpatient Rehabilitation are trained to evaluate and treat conditions such as arthritis, chronic pain, orthopedic conditions, spine disorders and neurological conditions. Therapists will provide recommendations for needed equipment to enhance independence. Outpatient Rehabilitation staff perform wheelchair evaluations and orthotic recommendations working together with the patient, physician and provider.
Saint Francis offers outpatient rehabilitation at Saint Francis Hospital South, Saint Francis Broken Arrow and Saint Francis Hospital-William Medical Building. Your physician will talk with you about recommended outpatient rehabilitation services and locations that best meet your needs.
