Speech Therapy

Saint Francis Broken Arrow offers outpatient speech and language therapy to patients of all ages who suffer from communication disorders whether congenital or acquired. The act of speaking requires many motor skills. Sound is produced by a combination of movements of the lips, tongue, teeth, palate, vocal chords and lungs. The speech therapists at Saint Francis Broken Arrow are highly trained to treat any language or communication issues a patient might have.

There are many causes of speech disorders such as brain injury, mental retardation, stroke, cerebral palsy, cleft palate and more. A speech therapist will assess the patient’s situation and form an effective plan of action so that a patient may communicate more effectively whether it is through vocal use or sign language.

Outpatient Speech Therapy hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm. For more information about speech therapy services, please call 451-5143.
